Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Pica, 66, of Derry, NH passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 5th 2023 at his home.

Tony was born on January 10, 1957, to Esther (Labelle) and Albert H. Pica Jr. He was raised in Methuen, MA, attended local schools, and went on to earn his associate degree from IT Tech. Through his adolescence and into young adulthood, he worked and eventually helped managed his family's restaurant, Pica's Garden Nite Café. This is where he met the love of his life, Linda (Hamilton). He went on to begin his career working in project management for Compucom.

He was heavily involved with the scouts, serving in many leadership roles through Troop 405 in Derry. He was a decorated assistant scout master earning his wood badge and was also deeply invested in the scouting careers of his sons. He could often be found participating in the pine woods derby, working on merit badges with his sons or off camping with the troop. In his remaining spare time, Tony could always be found working on his latest passion project. From tinkering with small engines to rebuilding and restoring his classic cars, Tony could always be counted on to say, " I can fix it!'.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Pica; his children, Susan Tucceri and her husband Jeff of Tewksbury, MA; Aimee Moreau and her husband Jacob of Atkinson, NH, David Pica of Methuen, MA, Michael Pica of Derry, NH, Jonathan Bailey-Pica and his wife Brianna of Manchester, NH, Micayla Pica and her husband Joel Platz of Manchester, NH, and Samuel Pica of Derry; his sister, Barbara Pica Baxter of Salem; and his grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Jeffrey, Jude, Isla, Odin, Caroline, Kaci, Callie, and Lennon.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Viola Bernard; and his brothers, Albert H. Pica III and Charlie Lamontagne.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 10th from 4pm to 7pm, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.

Tony is remembered for his unyielding sense of dad humor, his love of singing obscure songs (loudly and off key) in the kitchen and his unmatched ability to name every song playing on the Oldies Station.
