Ann M. St. Angelo, 85, of Windham, NH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, September 10th, 2024, at the Warde Health Center.

Born on October 19, 1938, to Margaret (Giberna) and Edward St. Angelo in the Bronx, New York, Ann was a kind and caring soul who fought fiercely for those she loved. While she had the unmistakable strength of a New Yorker, she was equally known for her warmth and generosity, always putting family first.

A talented musician like her father, Ann played piano from a young age and even performed at Carnegie Hall when she was just 11 years old. Her love for music never faded, and she could often be found enjoying singing competitions on TV and cheering on her favorite voices.

Ann's love for cooking was legendary, especially during the holidays, when there was always far more food than anyone could possibly eat. Her extravagant Italian dishes became family traditions, and some of her most cherished moments were spent teaching her children and grandchildren in the kitchen. Her recipes have been lovingly passed down through generations and will continue to be a part of family celebrations for years to come.

Ann had a sense of adventure that led her to travel whenever she could, flying all over the world or riding across the country on the back of a motorcycle. No matter where she traveled, Ann's favorite place was always "home", be it back in New York City or her beach house in Westerly, Rhode Island where she spent many happy summers. She was always ready to relax by the water or take off on a new adventure, and of course, she never turned down a good shopping trip with her granddaughters.

Although Ann accomplished much in her life, her greatest passion was her family. She was the "cool grandma," known for taking her grandkids on special weekend adventures and creating unforgettable memories. Nothing made her prouder than becoming a grandmother, always referring to her grandkids as "the apple of my eye" and later, a great-grandmother. She was especially proud of her twin great-granddaughters and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her third great-granddaughter—who, as her family lovingly says, she surely met on her way up to heaven.

Ann is survived by her children, Patti Michal and her husband Andy of Windham, NH; John Dillon and his wife Gladys of Tuckahoe, NY; and Steven Dillon of Manchester, NH; her grandchildren, Kiler Wilson and her husband Steve, Trent Dillon, Kyle Dillon, Brian Michal, Kelly Michal, and Alexis Michal; her great-granddaughters, Dillon and Avery Wilson; as well as several nieces and nephews, and of course her cherished dog and companion, Nikki. She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved grandson Justin Dillon, her sisters Barbara Jordano and Jackie Pellegrino, and her longtime partner, John Brown.
