Ann Russell

Ann Russell, 84, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026 surrounded by her family. Ann was born in Salem, MA where she lived until the early 2000's, when she and her husband moved to Derry NH.

Ann was the eldest of 7 children of Daniel and Jane Connolly of Salem, MA. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Thomas and her husband Leo of Derry, NH, her son George Lloyd and his wife Christine of Derry NH, her son Brian Lloyd and his wife Janet of Hampstead NH, and David Ryer of Ohio. She also had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ann was predeceased by her husband Frank Russell, her son James Lloyd of Salem, MA and her daughter Kim Lloyd of Salem MA.

Ann was respected and loved by all. She will be remembered for her sense of style and class. She always looked like she was ready to go to a fashion show. Ann loved Christmas, from decorating the house, beautifully wrapping presents (so you didn't even want to open them), and her magazine-worthy Christmas tree. Anyone who knew Ann will know about the Christmas tree, which didn't have one branch without a special ornament. It was truly amazing.

Ann also had a great passion for antiques and her home was like walking through a museum.

Ann was always there if you needed a mom, a friend, or just someone to talk to. She will be remembered as one of the most beautiful people both on the inside and out and would have done anything for anyone. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Oakland Cemetery in Dracut, MA. Immediately following the cemetery, family and friends are welcome back to the home of Brian and Janet for a reception - 250 Kent Farm Rd, Hampstead NH.
