Angela M. Bova of Windham, NH, 81, passed away peacefully on May 13th, 2026, with her family members by her side at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. She was born to the late Frank J. and the late Mildred L. (Falino) Bova in Boston, MA on June 12, 1944.

From a very young age Angela was unusually interested in politics and government, so much so, that, at the age of 12, she eagerly began watching the presidential conventions on television with her dad. In her adult life, she enjoyed working, for many years, in the Massachusetts political arena. Being also a prolific writer and illustrator she was frequently called upon to write and illustrate a number of political ads for many candidates running for office in Massachusetts.

She was a graduate of Simmons College, Boston, MA with a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations.

Angela had many talents that she pursued in her later years. She enjoyed drawing and painting with both water colors and pastels. She wrote, partially illustrated, and self-published a children’s book and had another book “in the works” before passing. She was an avid reader of history and loved reading biographies of her favorite political figures.

Angela experienced many medical challenges in her lifetime. Nevertheless, she always forged on with hope, optimism, and determination. She absolutely lived by a line from a famous speech given by Winston Churchill during WWll; “never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never, in nothing, great or small, large or petty”. She was stoic, fearless, and the bravest person I’ve ever known.

Angela is survived by her two sisters, Lorraine Addario from Stoneham, MA and Joyce Bova-Koster from Windham, NH. Niece-Lori Addario from Lynn, MA. Nephew-Carmen Addario and his wife Phyllis from Beverly, MA. Great niece-Jessica Pecora and her husband Albert from Methuen, MA. Great niece and Angela’s godchild-Amanda Addario from Bridgeport, CT. Great niece-Gianna Langis and her husband Matt from Amesbury, MA. Additionally, many adored great, great nieces and nephews. Angela is predeceased by her brother-Robert J. Bova, great nephew-Anthony R. Addario, and brother-in-law-Peter W. H. Koster.

Many thanks and love to Angela’s special friends and caregivers, Alice Richmond and Laurie Todd. They both kept Angela laughing and entertained while also taking wonderful care of her at her home before she entered hospice care. What would I have done without you? I am forever grateful.

My sincerest appreciation to The Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH and their wonderful staff for their exceptional care of Angela during her final days. Fortunately, I was able to be with my sister for the duration of her stay. Before long I started to feel quite nurtured by the staff as well. A safe cocoon - with cookies! Special angels - every one of you!

Heartfelt gratitude and love to niece, Jessica Pecora - who always shows up when the going gets rough - who then remains present and willing to do just about anything to make things better and easier for others. You are a one-of-a-kind treasure.

In line with Angela’s wishes, funeral services will be private at the Carrier Funeral Home, Windham, NH.
