Andrew Tomaszewski, known to his family and friends as Andy, passed away suddenly on October 9, 2026. He left this world much too early but is now an angel, who will be watching over his beloved wife.
He was born in Chelsea, MA, to Edward John and Cecilia Dinah (Bibeau) Tomaszewski.
He graduated from Chelsea High and started his career as an electronics technician, working at several different Defense Companies. He then switched careers, working with computer systems at several companies, including Imagitex, Inc, where he met the love of his life, Aline (Goyette), who became his wife in 1997. His last place of employment was at BAE Systems, where he worked as a Senior Systems Engineer for twenty years, until his retirement in January 2015.
He was so excited to be able to retire early, which enabled him to spend his time enjoying his life his way—and he did so for the last 12 years. Among his numerous interests and hobbies throughout his life were wine making, astrophotography, and Go-Kart racing at the Loudon, NH Racetrack. He created many items on his 3D printer, including many models that he then constructed and painted. Andy had a passion for working on his beloved sports cars- a Miata and a Lotus Europa, which he even made his own parts for and taught himself to upholster, as he reupholstered all the seats in this car he loved so much. He was also an avid Fan of Formula1 Racing and was able to attend the Canadian Grand Prix many times.
He and his wife enjoyed vacations traveling to many places in the United States such as Yellowstone, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, as well as various weeks in California, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia, just to name a few. They also traveled to the Caribbean numerous times, as well as to Greece, Italy and Germany. The last 5 years they enjoyed spending the summers in their RV, mostly staying in the New Hamphire and Maine area.
He is survived by his wife, Aline (Goyette); as well as his brother, Edward Tomaszewski and his wife Mary; his sister, Susan Gouvalaris and her husband John, his sister, Debra Haggstrom and her husband Mike, his brother, Joel Tomaszewski; several nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edward John and Cecilia Dinah (Bibeau) Tomaszewski and his brother, Peter Tomaszewski
Andy had a way of making every person he met feel comfortable. He could find something in common with everyone because his wealth of knowledge was so broad. He was someone that others turned to for help or suggestions throughout the years.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 17th, from 10am to 11am, with a Funeral Service beginning at 11am, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
