Alton R. Jordan, 80, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Cedar View Rehab and Healthcare Center, in Methuen, MA. He was born on January 23, 1945, to the late George Jordan and Alice (Smith), in Providence, RI.

Alton went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Alton was active in thoroughbred racing in New England throughout his lifetime. He was particularly proud of his horse "Beau Britches" winner of the Lou Smith memorial Handicap in 1979.

He was an avid football fan and looked forward to playing Fantasy Football every season. His favorite team was the Washington Redskins.

Alton is survived by his daughter: Courtney Jordan, and his former wife, Carolyn (Mikonis) of Lynchburg, VA; his sister: Cynthia Sisum, of Salem, NH; his nephew: Gary Sisum; his friend and longtime companion: Mary Thompson; and his close friend: Bill Maaia.

Per Alton's request, there will be no funeral services.
