Albert R. Savard, 90, of Salem NH and Andover NJ, a proud veteran, dedicated business owner, and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on October 7th at Newton Medical Center in New Jersey. Al was born in Lowell, MA on October 23rd, 1935, to the late Raymond Savard and Claire Denault.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Al honorably served his country for 10 years, exemplifying values of dedication, duty, and integrity that carried through every chapter of his life. Following his military service, he spent several years working for the Hood Milk Company before following his entrepreneurial spirit. Together with his late brother-in-law, Bob Mastin, he co-founded A&B Cleaning Service. Through years of hard work, reliability, and commitment to providing service of the highest quality, they built A&B Cleaning Service into one of the most respected commercial cleaning companies across Southern, NH and the Merrimack valley.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Al will be remembered for his steadfast presence, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to his family and community. His legacy of service, loyalty, and hard work lives on in the many lives he touched. Throughout his life, Al lived by a steadfast code: family always came first, closely followed by an unwavering, tireless work ethic. He poured his heart into providing for hose he loved, demonstrating every day what it meant to lead with integrity, responsibility, and devotion. Al was truly a fun-loving guy at heart. He possessed an easygoing charm and a great sensor of humor that made every gathering brighter. An avid golfer, he spent many happy hours on the fairways and thoroughly enjoyed his many trips to sporting events with his good friends.

Al was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Helen. Their devotion to one another was unmatched, and their love was simply too strong to keep them apart for long. He is lovingly survived by her three children: Larry Savard; Luanne Savard and her life partner, Michael Macaione; Michele Savard and her life partner, Gary Schofield, he was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Stephen, Henry, and Krysten and a joyful great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren: Liam, Mila, and Henry (baby Hank). He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 14th from 9:30AM–11AM, at Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH, with the funeral service beginning at 11am, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH, with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Homeland Heroes Foundation in Al’s memory.
